The popular Holy Fair event is set to return to Ayr’s Low Green this year - with a brand new name.

The Summer Family Fest with Armed Forces and Pipes in the Park, as it will now be known, will be held on the waterfront on Saturday, June 22.

The free event will start at 11.45am with the official flag-raising ceremony, followed by an afternoon full of exciting and engaging activities and attractions.

Children, young people and families can look forward to an array of fairground rides, a pipe band contest, a highland dance contest and dance arena, market and charity stalls, military attractions and even a children’s fun dog show, with lots more still to be announced.

Team Extreme will be displaying their exhilarating skills at the event, with BMX, skateboarder and scooter performances, and there will be an opportunity for attendees to have a go on the ramp too.

This fantastic event, which has been running for more than 30 years, is an opportunity to support Armed Forces as well as service families, veterans, and cadets.
