The lifeboat crews at Troon and Arran RNLI have marked 11 years since a memorable callout to the island after a major snowfall cut off services.
The volunteer crews were tasked to assist on the island on March 24, 2013, following heavy snowfall which cut off power and heating.
Both the Troon and Arran lifeboats were sent to deliver vital supplies via Lochranza, battling rough seas to make the delivery.
A spokesperson said: "Eleven years ago, Troon and Arran RNLI lifeboat crews had one of their more memorable call outs.
"With large sections of Arran cut off due to heavy snowfall and with residents without power or heating, Troon all-weather lifeboat and Arran inshore lifeboat were tasked to deliver supplies to Lochranza as the only access was by sea.
"As our crew returned, a passing news helicopter took some footage of our RNLI Trent class all-weather lifeboat ‘RNLB Jim Moffat’."
