Pupils past and present gathered to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Annbank Primary School. And pupils and villagers dressed up in period costumes to march from the site of the original thatched school to the new Annbank Primary.
Popular Glenburn Primary dinner lady Fenella Harley served up her final dish at the school. The 60-year-old bid farewell to pupils, staff and friends after 21 years of unstinting service at the Prestwick school. The pupils bought their favourite dinner lady a bird table as a present.

Staff and pupils at Gardenrose Primary School in Maybole played their part in Macmillan Cancer Care’s “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning“ fundraiser in October 2003 with friends and family joining in.
The Marr College Class of 1963 were re-united at Troon’s South Beach Hotel in October 2003. At the party, 30 old friends enjoyed a buffet meal. Earlier that day they were taken on a tour of their old school. Organiser Lesley Keith said: “The girls in our year have met up from time to time but the boys haven’t so we thought we’d have a get-together as it’s 40 years since we all left. “
Barassie Primary School pupils used any means they could to take part in a race up and down Troon’s north shore in October 2003. The youngsters were taking part in the Barassie Primary PTA North Beach Challenge in which anything goes - bicycles, scooters, buggies, roller blades, lots of feet and even a tractor!
