STAFF and customers at the M&Co Ayr store have contributed a fantastic £14,542 towards M&Co’s National Charity Partner of 10 years, Cancer Research UK..

From fashion shows to bake sales and a national baton relay challenge, the store on Alloway Street has been a part of a national effort to help raise vital research funds for Cancer Research UK.

The company as a whole has raised an incredible £3million for Cancer Research UK, over the past 10 years through similar activities both in and out of their many stores across the UK.

Andrew McGeoch, M&Co Chief Executive said: “Our staff are thrilled to have raised this magnificent sum for Cancer Research UK and together we will continue to contribute to the fight to help beat cancer sooner.”

Cancer Research UK spokeswoman in Scotland, Clare Lappin said: “Cancer affects us all and one in two people in the UK will be diagnosed with the disease during their lifetime.

"We are so grateful to M&Co for the fantastic amount they have raised for Cancer Research UK.”
