The budget report features dozens of comments from local people, some criticising aspects of the proposals with others pushing their own ideas.
In Maybole, where there are plans to also close the golf course and customer service centre, over 80% of people in the town came out against closing the recycling centre.
Some 81% said they did NOT agree with plans to close the facility, which only opens four days a week, for a saving of £13,000.
In regards to the issue of the Campus cop budget, the majority of areas agreed with keeping it at existing levels, with a letter received from Belmont Academy Council explaining ‘the significant impact the campus cop has at Belmont working with children who struggle to settle in the conventional classroom setting’.
Four areas disagreed with keeping the funding - including the North and South Carrick villages.
Also in Carrick, there were objections to school library cuts at Girvan Academy, with others defending school crossings, stating: “Girvan has two school patrols for a busy A77,which can have a convoy of four lorries in a row."
Although I live alone I have a grandchild which questions no 17 effects. Road maintenance is a disgrace now.
The roads are full of large pot holes a dangerous situation could arise at any time. Girvan to Ayr stretch is a right nightma
