KEITH Dalgleish’s horses continue in great form as he showed at the recent William Hill Ayr Gold Cup Festival by saddling couple of winners.

The Carluke-based handler is making a bold bid to top his best ever yearly total of 86 Flat winners which he achieved in 2017 and although he is still more than 20 away from it he is saddling lots of runners and could well achieve his target by the beginning of November.

He has several runners at Ayr today (Tuesday) where I think his best chance of a winner is with Forever A Lady in the 7f handicap at 3.50pm.

This course winner has kept her form and should go close under Joe Fanning.

Later on in the week Keith aims for the £100,000 first prize in Redcar’s Two Year Old Trophy where he has multiple entries including recent Ayr winner Aberama Gold who was very impressive when winning the Shadwell Stallions Nursery Handicap.

The Redcar race is one of the most keenly-contested two year old races in the country and to win it would be a huge feather in Keith’s cap. Another horse that holds an entry is Glasvegas, in the same ownership as Aberama Gold, and I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the Dalgleish runners is successful here.
