GIRVAN 1

STRUGGLING Girvan suffered their seventh defeat out of 10 against the mid-table hosts.

In 10 minutes they went ahead with a 20-yard shot which gave visiting goalie Ally McInnes no chance

Nine minutes later, a Darren Mitchell shot from edge of box was fumbled by the goalie, but ended up in his hands

In 29 minutes Craig Harvey swung over a corner-kick and Darren Mitchell sent home a diving header.

Five minutes later Mitchell agonisingly hit the post and the rebound comes to Mike Wilson, whose shot was saved on the line by the centre half with his hands. He was sent off and penalty was awarded to Girvan. Howerver the home goalie saved the spot-kick effort.

In 37 minutes the home left winger fired the ball across goal and it was turned into the net from 12 yards.

Fifteen minutes later, McInnes made a good save but the rebound was turned into the net.

Rory Tait had a good effort in 72 minutes, but the home goalie made a fine save.

It was a poor performance from Girvan but they will battle on looking for points to keep them safe.G
