JUBILANT striker Adam Forsyth said achieving promotion with Whitletts Victoria is the biggest "achievement of my career".

He spoke after netting the victory-clinching goal in the Championship play-off at Dam Park Stadium last Wednesday, which gave his team a 2-1 win on the night and a 4-1 aggregate victory.

Forsyth, who joined Vics from Troon back in February is delighted with how the campaign has gone and said: "There's nothing better than to achieve promotion with your hometown club. I was given the opportunity to come here from Troon earlier this year and I decided it was a good one to take. The manager George Grierson has done a great job to get us into this position. When you think at the time he took over we were nearly out of the running but we have picked up some great results, including drawing with the champions Dalry Thistle on their turf and they only got a point through a very dubious penalty. We have a good strong squad and this is tie the biggest achievement of my career. We deserve to be promoted as it's been a good season."

He is already looking forward to the forthcoming campaign and said: "It was a great achievement to go up and we now look forward to playing at a higher level. First and foremost we will look to consolidate."
