Plans to turn a Prestwick church into a licensed restaurant have been withdrawn.
Plans were submitted to South Ayrshire Council back in February for alterations to the Bute Hall building at 57 Main Street, formerly home to the Brethren Church.
The property currently comprises a front lobby hallway, toilets, the main church hall, a kitchen, stalls and an office.
The proposal was for a change of use from a hall to a public house with food and drink, with minor alterations to the front entrance proposed by the applicant.
Planning documents stated: "It is considered that the proposed development will generate considerable footfall and due to its central location and access to sustainable forms of transport will contribute to the viability and vitality of the core shopping centre of Prestwick."
Plans showed that the restaurant would have had space for around 100 people.
However, the planning application has now been withdrawn from the South Ayrshire Council website.
The building, which was built in the 1870s and was originally used as a public hall, ceased to be used as a church in 2018.
