THE OUTDOOR Partnership (TOP) Ayrshire has been given a cash boost from lottery funding.

A grant from the National Lottery Community fund will help the charity roll out its model across other areas of the UK. TOP Ayrshire is the latest area to become part of the charity following parts of Northern Ireland and Cumbria.

The charity has successfully worked in North Wales for the past 15 years with local councils, national governing bodies of sport, schools, colleges, clubs, and local communities.

The Outdoor Partnership will work with clubs, schools, individuals, and specialist to increase opportunities for people in Ayrshire to achieve their potential through outdoor activities, active participation, volunteering, training, and education.

Vincent McWhirter has been appointed as the Ayrshire Outdoor Partnership Development Officer. He will be based within the East Ayrshire Council Learning Outdoor Support Team (@eacLOST) at St Joseph’s Campus in Kilmarnock and will cover all of Ayrshire.
