PUNTERS attending a recent junior football match helped dig deep to help a youth team realise their dream of taking part in a first class tournament.
Cumnock Juniors Youth 07s staged a gate collection at the league match between Cumnock Juniors and Irvine Meadow a week past on Saturday.
Leanne Thomson, the fundraiser teamed up with the boys to organise a special gate collection to help support the team’s participation in the Manchester Cup football tournament, which is being staged in the northern English city during the Easter holidays.
They raised an impressive £191.76 on the day.
And the local players were even more delighted as the Juniors team won the match.
This was the start of fundraising activities being staged in the run-up to the event which is being hugely anticipated by the youngsters.
A big thanks goes to the fans from both Cumnock and Irvine Meadow who contributed to help support the team.
