DISORDER and disturbance calls are causing problems for Troon Police.

Sergeant Dean Barlas said at Troon Community Council last Tuesday: “There have been just under 15 disorders since the last meeting. I have noticed a pattern. There’s a stretch of Dundonald Road, including Marr College out to Logan Drive and Morven Crescent and there have been a few disorder calls and a few disturbance calls there.

“This happens in the evening round about 9pm and it tends to be the weekends. This is where we will be focusing our attention.

“There were just under 10 disturbance calls and there have been two or three calls in Templehill about disturbance involving people who were drunk or wanting to fight and we will keep an eye on this by visiting licensed premises.”

Fewer than 10 vandalisms were recorded, the Sergeant added, including two at Muirhead Primary School and two at Marr College.

One hate crime was recorded in the town. There were just 10 road accidents in the town, including two more serious ones in Dundonald Road and the other in Academy Street. They were both to do with failing to heed Give Way signs but there were no serious accidents.
