The students wearing yellow
AYRSHIRE College students hosted a charity event to highlight World Mental Health Day recently.
Held at Ayr Campus, students from the college raised money by asking students and staff to wear something yellow to support their #helloyellow campaign.
The Routes to IT, Routes to Retail and Connect to Learning and Enterprise supportive education students also sold homebaking at various stalls and encouraged all to join in the spirit of the event.
The student-organised day raised a fantastic £290 for local charity YoungMinds.
Ernie Lennox, Essential Skills lecturer, said: “The students got great enjoyment from the organising, planning and taking part in the event.
“The day was a huge success.”
