ORGANISERS of the Carrick Light Fest are looking for more people to get involved in a parade they say will be “out of this world”.

The River of Light Lantern Procession will take to the streets of Girvan on the evening of Saturday, November 2.

A team of artists have already helped to create the big builds, with stars, flying saucers and space rocket lanterns already made.

This Saturday there will be a community workshop at the Scout Hall, Girvan, where residents are encouraged to come along to add their own fantastic lantern to the show.

Everyone is welcome and urged to wear old clothes. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
