A LOCAL re-enactment group have revealed that they are disbanding at the end of 2019 after 33 years.
Carrick 800 ended their journey at the end of this year, as they performed their last show for the group on Sunday, July 28.
The group were at Caerlaverock Castle as Re-enactment Events Scotland made the announcement on Facebook on behalf of the group.
Upset members were quick to pay tribute to the group.
Caroline Askew said: “I think I can safely say from all of us at Carrick 800 thank you for everyone for the amazing, humbling and heartfelt send off.”
Denis Reid followed up: “Sad day when Carrick 800 have folded.
Founded in 1986 I was a founding member and Battle Director for many years – great days but times change as does commitment.”
