GENEROUS colleagues across Buzzworks venues have been supporting their local community and fundraising for charity as part of an annual Giving Back initiative.
Ahead of the highly anticipated opening of Vic’s & The Vine, members of staff donned brightly coloured t-shirts, rubber gloves and bin bags to take part in a Prestwick beach clean.
Across the afternoon the team filled 18 bags full of plastic and rubbish that was cluttering the beach front.
Buzzworks also fundraises throughout the year for three staff nominated organisations namely Ayrshire Hospice, Cancer Research and Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
Through donations and sponsorship pledges the team hope to raise more than £2,000. This sum will be added to the annual Giving Back pot which is split across three causes.
Alison Blair, Buzzworks Holdings MD, said: “Our team have proved time and time again that not only do we go above and beyond for our customers, when it comes to charity we are always up to the challenge of raising much needed funding for worthwhile causes.
“Being an active member of the communities in which we operate is important to us and the voluntary Prestwick beach clean was just one example. We hope to raise another five figure sum for charities again this year as well supporting community initiatives.”
