FUN-SEEKERS are being invited to put their limits to the test at the Culzean Challenge, and to explore one of Scotland’s heritage treasures as the same time – a day full of running, fun, games and challenges at Culzean Castle this Sunday April 28 between 11am and 4pm.

Created to raise funds for the historic Ayrshire property which is protected by the National Trust for Scotland, the Culzean Challenge includes running events, inflatables, giant games and a raffle.

With improved routes for 2019, participants will navigate their way around the beautifully scenic 5k and 10k cross country running courses, starting and finishing at the West Green. Taking place at 1pm and 2pm, there will be running challenges suitable for all ages, with a medal up for grabs for all participants.

Paige Campbell, Events Manager at Culzean Castle, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone along to the Culzean Challenge for a day full of fun. The challenge is a great way for families and groups of friends to spend time being active.

"We’ve designed the routes to take runners off the beaten track and highlight some of Culzean’s hidden corners – there’s so much more to explore here. And of course, the whole event raises funds for everything we do to protect Culzean Castle for future generations.”

Families and friends can also compete against one another on four giant Inflatable Challenges. From exploring the Beast Inflatable Obstacle Course and keeping balance on the Total Wipeout Spinner Arm Challenge to peeling off the Sticky Wall and braving the Mega Slide, visitors can expect an adventure-packed day to remember.

With giant versions of classic games including Connect 4, Jenga, building blocks and dominoes and a bouncy castle all on offer, there’s something for everyone.

Prices throughout the day are £5.50-£9.50 for the running events, £1-£2 for the Inflatables Challenges and each of the Giant Games will be free to use. Standard country park admission fees will also apply to non-members.
