From the 1st Carisbrooke guides and brownies:

We are celebrating ‘The Big 100’ anniversary in 2019.

Any past members who belonged to the 1st Carisbrooke units are invited to celebrate with us.

A number of events are planned, including a reunion picnic and an exhibition at Carisbrooke Castle Museum, which was founded as a memorial to Princess Beatrice’s husband, Prince Henry of Battenberg.

HRH Princess Beatrice graciously allowed her name to be in our girlguiding registration title.

However, firstly, as the present members, we would like to meet with you to invite you to share your memories of being a guide or brownie in Carisbrooke with us.

We are planning to meet and speak with past members soon.

Therefore, if you are interested in sharing your memories or attending our events please contact us via www.girlguidingisleofwight.co.uk or phone Linda, the guide leader, on 01983 520873.
