A LOCAL motorbike designer’s unique style is attracting people from all over the UK.

Eoin Cumming has developed a niche in the market with his enticing and colourful designs that nowhere else is able to offer.

The Herald caught up with the Stevenston grafter to hear about his story and what makes his work different from others in the same trade.

Eoin said: “First of all, I wasn’t happy in my job, so I put an ad on Gumtree about motorbike repairs and it just snowballed from there.

“With my custom design, I get to know the background of the customer, I sit them down and we have a chat about what they are looking for.

“I would never go ahead with anything unless I have got to know the customer.

“Sometimes my input helps, I can give them my view and we often come up with an idea between us that works perfectly.

“We are quite creative and that’s all part of the custom side. All designs are unique and there’s absolutely nothing copied, they are all from my own head.

“The technique is my own and has been developed over the years and no one does it the same way. I would like to tell you how it’s done, but I would have to kill you!”

Eoin hopes to reach the heights of being featured in a major biking magazine and to grow his client base.

He continued: “I’ve got regular custom from Inverness and as far down as Southampton who pass a lot of other major bike repairers to come and get their work done here.

“I would love to see my name in lights and I would love to see my name in a bike magazine, that’s always been the dream and hopefully that will come eventually.

“We have a niche in the market at the moment as no one is able to offer what we can.

“The main thing is I want EDC to bigger than what it is just now.”
