A GROUP of fighting fit Troon people took the plunge all in a very good cause on Boxing Day.
Some 46 people took part in a stamina-sapping challenge organised by Troon Dynamic, including some kids.
They took part in a workout and this was follow by the full dook experience, which took participants' breaths away.
From this event and the recent Monster Dash, the group have raised £770 all in. The initial target from the Fit Dip had been £100.
Proceeds will go to Small but Mighty Fund - The Brain Tumour charity
It was a great turn out and fairly mild morning. The sea still managed to take your breath away during the full dook experience,
Mostly participants from the classes got involved, along with some family and friends who took part and supported it.
Roddy Fell piped the charity challengers into the sea with some tunes, and kept runners going on the way out out too. Fraser McPhaile kindly helped by taking some videos and photos.
Organiser Kerry Murdoch said: "I felt there was a lovely atmosphere and great energy from everyone, overall it was a very memorable morning for me with some magic moments I’ll never forget."
