GIRVAN North Church saw a packed congregation turn out for an evening of music and song.

The event was organised by Mr John Andrew of the Rotary Club of Girvan and was well supported by local schools, and music groups.

Mrs Marie Mortimer from Barrhill held the night together with her skill on piano/organ, while Jim Guthrie did his MC.

Sacred Heart and Girvan Primary School, both had choirs who performed Somewhere in my memory, Candy Cane Lane, Christmas lights, Ding Dong merily on high, and warm this winter.

The Academy of Girvan also played their part. They provided various pieces with their brass band, which was led by Mr Sandie McAughtrie. And along with them came the school choirs, a great addition to the night.

In addition Three Pipers, Celtic Voices, Folk Group soloists on Saxophone and Guitar and voice .
