POLICE have released images of a man they want to trace after a “despicable and reckless” wilful fire-raising incident at an Indian restaurant in Maryhill.
The incident happened outside the Bombay Lounge Restaurant, on Maryhill Road, on Monday, September 3.
The man is described as white, aged approximately 35 to 45-years-old, of stocky build, with balding hair, wearing a Gap hooded top, glasses and white trainers.
Detective Sergeant John Dowds, from Maryhill CID, said: “This was a despicable and reckless act that has resulted in a significant loss to a local business owner and had the potential risk of affecting connecting properties.
“I am appealing to the public to assist police in identifying the man in the pictures, who may have information of significance to the investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Greater Glasgow CID via 101, quoting incident number 0456 of Monday, September 3.
