STRAITON Primary School children were commended their great attitude last week following an inspection from Education Scotland.

The inspectors reported that the children are motivated and are engaged in their learning. They also said their exemplary behaviour is respectful and caring of adults and each other.

The Maybole school was also praised for having strong links and involvement with the local community who feel valued by staff. And these experiences enhance the children's outdoor experiences and enterprise activities.

Straiton Primary's headteacher was also praised for leading strong staff to achieve the best possible learning experience for each child in a nurturing and encouraging learning environment.
