THE Carrick Centre held their first festive event of the year this month in a fundraiser for the community.
The Centre’s Festive Fayre welcomed both regular and new stall holders to share their crafts and Christmas cheer in a fun-filled night.
Popular features included mulled wine, homemade mince pies and a carol-singing choir. The Gaiety Act Out project provided workshops in theatre makeup, while some locals raised funds by selling their hand-crafted Christmas cards, and one displaying their self-made willow baskets.
A total of £590.95 was raised on the night thanks to everyone’s hard work. The next event will be on Saturday, December 1 where Breakfast with Santa will be on at the Carrick Centre from 10am until 12 noon. Sensory Santa Family fun will then take place between 2pm and 4pm at £5 per child and booking is essential.
