From Harriet Hadfield, partly of Seaview:

Re your story: Still think Seaview has the fanciest houses? (iwcp.co.uk, 03-10-18).

Seaview became massively over-inflated in the boom times, when people could afford to spend hundreds of thousands, millions even, on second homes.

My generation absolutely can’t afford to. I only know of one holiday family of my age who own in Seaview.

The rest of us stay with our parents — many of whom have now retired to the village!

It’s excellent prices have dropped, making it much more accessible for those who want to actually live there.

You only have to look at the thriving new village community shop to see how Seaview is coming back to life all year round.
