Part of A66 is closed following a road traffic collision
Cumbria police have closed one of Cumbria's busiest roads following a serious crash.
The A66 is currently closed in West Cumbria between Chapel Brow roundabout, Bridgefoot, and Broughton Cross following a serious road traffic collision.
Two vehicles, a Citroen van and a Citroen car, were involved in the collision.
The incident happened before 8am and there is heavy traffic in the area.
There is currently no update on extent of injuries.
Motorists have been urged to avoid the area.
