A WOMAN has been jailed for abusive threats to police officers.

Natasha McKelvie, of Murray Gardens, Maybole, admitted to behaving in a threatening manner where she shouted and uttered threats towards police officers.

The 31-year-old was due to appear before Sheriff John Montgomery from custody at Ayr Sheriff Court last week, however, due to her ‘making threats’ to G4S staff and threats of what she may do if brought to court, as well as ‘removing her clothes’, it was unsafe to remove her from the van.

Depute fiscal, Jennifer Guy, explained: “At around 10.20pm, police witnesses attended the locus. They spoke to the accused at the door, where she became aggressive, telling them to “f**ck off”.

“She was told to stop swearing to which she said, “get to f**k” and “what are you going to do about it”. When the officers told her she was under arrest she was calling the officer “pig bast*rds”.”

McKelvie, who failed to co-operate with social workers, was sentenced to eight months jail.
