REPORTS of a missing child sparked a call out to Ayr Beach.
The Ayr and Adrossan Coastguard Rescue Teams were called shortly after 4pm on Tuesday, July 3 after reports of a young child going missing from Ayr Beach.
As the coastguard team was proceeding towards Ayr, and update was received advising the child was found safe and well by Ayr Coastguard Rescue Team and officers from Police Scotland.
A spokesman for the Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team, said: “With the child safe and well and reunited with their family, the team has stood down and returned to station to complete the necessary paperwork before booking off duty, ready to respond to the next callout.”
