THE TOP man of Girvan’s Quayzone provided an update to Girvan Rotary on the centre’s first year in business.

Peter Linton spoke to the Girvan Rotarians, who donated some £2200 to the complex, at their weekly meeting in the Royal Hotel Girvan.

The money allowed the Quayzone to purchase the Visitor Information Screen in its foyer and the Lifeguard High Chair which sits at the poolside.

Last week the Quayside complex celebrated its first birthday and Peter during his talk spent time covering the first years progress which showed the complex had performed much better than anticipated .

The complex now has more 600 local people who have a membership which enables them access to the premises and its facilities at very competitive rates.

Quayzone is often thought of as Girvan’s swimming pool but it does much more it has members from all over South Ayrshire.

Girvan Rotary would like to thank Mr Linton for taking the time to come to the Royal Hotel and talk to them. It enabled the Rotarians to ask all these questions that Girvan locals have about its marvellous facility.

They hope Peter enjoyed his meal at the Royal Hotel Girvan.
