A MAN has been ordered to behave after he was caught stealing chocolate from a supermarket in Ayr.
David McGinley, of York Street, Ayr admitted to taking the food from Aldi in October last year.
Appearing at Ayr Sheriff Court, it was heard that the items amounted to £1.98 but were never recovered.
Speaking on his behalf, defence solicitor Ian Gillies, explained that the McGinley was in the shop drunk when he committed the “stupid offence”.
Sheriff Leslie deferred the sentence and ordered McGinley to be of good behaviour.
