A MAN has been arrested for allegedly being twice the legal limit and found slumped over a steering wheel in Coylton.
It is claimed that at 5am on Sunday, April 8 at Murray Park the 19-year-old was arrested for drinking while in charge of a motor vehicle.
The Ayr Advertiser Series understands that a member of the public saw the man asleep in the vehicle. Police attended, found the key in his hand, while he was slumped over the steering wheel.
Police have confirmed that the man failed the roadside breath test, he was arrested and released on undertaking. He will appear in court at a later date.
