THE New Craigmark new management team of John Redmond and Jonny Baillie got off to a winning start at Ardeer Stadium.

Ardeer started Brightly and in 16 minutes Jordan Bruce sent a fine drive just wide.

As the half progressed Ardeer came more and more into the match and in 39 minutes Gareth Armstrong headed a Paul McKay cross against the post.

Two minutes later a good save by Louis Kerr to deny Armstrong the opening goal.

Craigmark opened the second half strongly and went ahead in 47 minutes when Dylan Thirtle sent a free-kick from wide on the left into the area and the ball beat everyone to land in the corner of the net.

Ardeer tried to get back into he match but their only effort on goal by Jordan Bruce in 59 minutes was saved by Louis Kerr.

Midway through the half home goalie McCann saved from Bryce Reid.

The points were wrapped up with 15 minutes left when substitute Grant Kelly latched on to a ball from Scott Dempster to net.

Ardeer threw everyone into attack to try to get a goal back but were caught out five minutes from time when Grant Kelly broke clear and squared the ball to Graham Swailes to net a debut goal.

GIRVAN 3

GIRVAN gained a comfortable three points at New Pebble Park against an understrength Annbank to keep their promotion bid on track.

A long throw in in the 10 minutes almost gave Girvan the opening goal but Josh Sloan hit the post with his effort. Seven minutes later Girvan took the lead poor marking in the defence allowed Steven Cargill to head home a Tony Murphy corner-kick.

Annbank hit back and it took a magnificent save from Steven Douglas kept out a Sean Robertson effort.

A minute from half-time Girvan lost Connor Simpson with an injury, Jordan Barr replacing him.

Girvan almost went further ahead in 55 minutes but Paul Cameron's shot rebounded from the bar to safety.

Seven minutes later the same player rattled a shot off the post.

The second goal came in 65 minutes when an Annbank free-kick was cleared upfield and David Cunningham was on hand to net after Jordan Callaghan had saved and the rebound hit the post.

Right on full time Paul Cameron was pulled down in the penalty area and he got up to net the spot kick.

MAYBOLE's season of woe continued when they dropped another three points after missing a last minute penalty.

The first chance fell to Maybole in 15 minutes but Steven McKay's effort hit the bar and rebounded to safety.

Shortly after this James Cuthbertson was one on one with the keeper but could not find the net.

Greenock opened the scoring in the im 25 minutes with a fine shot. Ten minutes later the visitors doubled their lead when following a corner the Maybole defence did not clear the loose ball and it was poked into the net

The hosts got back into the game in 43 minutes when a Neil McGowan free-kick was headed down by Stuart Peacock to Michael Reilly who netted.

The hosts then created chance through Roddy Paterson and Declan Murphy. With a minute left Maybole were awarded a penalty but the usually reliable Cuthbertson missed from the spot.
