CHAMPIONS Carrick celebrated their title success in the sunshine on Saturday as they ran amok at home to Annan.
A week after sealing the title away to Allan Glen's, Gordon Brown's irrepressible side refused to take their foot off the pedal against the South of Scotland side and gave themselves extra cause to celebrate at their end-of-season awards evening.
The treble winners, who have also secured the West Regional Shield and BT Shield, took the game to their opponents right from the off and at the interval led by a whopping 41-7.
Lewis Clark and Greg Montgomery both bagged try doubles, with Joe Connon, Graeme Dick and David Andrew each touching down once. Kyle Johnson was in fine form with the boot, kicking three conversions in an accomplished display.
In the second half, Sean Young bagged a try hat-trick with Montgomery and Michael Kirk securing the other touchdowns, witth Johnson nailing another three conversions.
This rounded off a comprehensive victory which further underlines the home side's status as worthy champions.
