THE final Flat meeting of 2017 at Ayr Racecourse takes place on Thursday with the six race William Hill Raceday

The action starts at 2pm with the Ben EBF Novice Stake and the in-form Keith Dalgleish saddles I’m Improving with Graham Lee taking the mount on a horse which has finished third in both his starts.

The longest race of the day is the William Hill Get The App on Googeleplay Handicap over the marathon distance of one mile seven furlongs and Iain Jardine looks to have found a good opening here for recent hurdles winner Golden Jeffrey while the John Quinn-trained Bodacious Name, with Jason Hart riding, is another interesting runner.

Jay Kay, trained in North Yorkshire by Karl Burke, attempts to win at the course for the sixth time in the William Hill Bet Boost Handicap and regular jockey Joey Haynes will once again ride this ultra- consistent horse.

The final race of the afternoon is the William Hill Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap over one mile one furlong and Mustaqbal, a winner at the track last week, runs in this for trainer Michael Dods and jockey Callum Rodriguez.
