BUDDING young Joe Root's flocked to the Henry Thow Oval for a successful coaching camp.
The event was held over six days earlier this month and taking charge was Prestwick Cricket Club South African overseas amateur, Luke Smith.
And around 20 youngsters from throughout the Prestwick area attended each day.
Younger children played a form of the sport, Kwik Cricket which involves using plastic bats and balls.
The older ones worked on developing their fielding and bowling skills and practised their batting in the nets.
