A SMASH hit event was held for youngsters across South Ayrshire.
In all, 21 S1 to S3 pupils from South Ayrshire Secondary schools participated in a mini tennis tournament at Prestwick Tennis Centre on January 22, as part of the Competitive School Sport programme in South Ayrshire.
The venture was supported by SRUC Sports Coaching students and Coylton club coach Morris Thomson.
Pupils were split into round robin pools and the top player in each group entered the final pool to compete for the title.
Main prizewinners were: 1 Ross Bulloch (Kyle Academy); 2 Ryan Stribling (Belmont Academy); Fraser Reid (Kyle Academy).
The organisers would to thank everyone who competed in the event.
South Ayrshire’s Competitive School Sport programme works alongside local and national partners to build a sustainable infrastructure for school sport competition in both primary and secondary schools and increase the range and quality of competitive school sport opportunities for young people within the region.
