TROON and Girvan lifeboat stations are set to be graced by a royal visit later this month.

HRH The Duke of Kent, President of the RNLI since 1969, will on Friday, May 25, visit both Girvan and Troon lifeboat stations as part of a tour of south-west Scotland - a two day visit when he will visit six lifeboat stations: Kippford, Kirkcudbright, Portpatrick, Stranraer, Girvan and Troon.
