MORE than 100 dogs showed off their agility skills at a special event held in Troon on Saturday.

Ayrshire Dog Agility Club held a fun show at Fullarton Woods.

Members from the host club, Prestwick Dog Training Club and Red Dog Agility, based at Dundonald, brought along their pets to pit their wits against each other.

The event involved ordinary jumping and agility. There was an obstacle course and the idea was to get round it as far as possible with a clear round.

Organiser Lorraine Beaton said: "We had rosettes for the winners of each classes. The classes were divided into heights depending on how small or large the dogs are.

"We had Collies, German Shepherds, Spaniels, Labradors, all kinds of terriers, other kinds of pedigree dogs and crossbreeds. It was good fun and the dogs all had a ball."
