TROON Rotary club support a wide variety of projects both at home and abroad, and from time to time have the opportunity of combining the two.
The most recent monthly Troon Rotary Community Support award of £200 went to local girl Laurie Scott who is currently a student nurse at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Laurie has volunteered for a Future Sense Foundation "challenge abroad" in Thailand for a month.
The project involves promoting health care and hygiene in an orphanage and helping in other community projects in an area with very basic facilities.
