A POPULAR annual musical extravaganza had revellers dancing in the aisles at Troon Concert Hall.

The Rotary Club of Troon Fiddlers' Concert was once again a resounding, toe-tapping success and helped raise some money for charity at the same time.

Acclaimed Beechgrove Garden presenter Jim McColl excelled himself as MC and the Tourie Band were outstanding.

A few brave souls even tried to get people up dancing and the raffle was very well supported.

More than 350 people attended the concert, which raised more than £3500 for several local charities, including Unity Carers’ Trust (supporting young carers in South Ayrshire) and another local charity, Touched by Suicide.

Troon Rotary Community Support Fund will also benefit from the proceeds, putting money raised straight back into the community.

The Rotary Club of Troon would like to thank everyone who supported the event and who worked so hard to make it a night to remember.

Meanwhile Rotarians are looking forward to their biggest ever Community Sale, which is being held in Troon Concert Hall on Saturday, March 19, from 10am until 3.30pm.

Six new vendors have joined the group and there will be something for everyone on sale.

There will be Easter-themed gifts, chocolates, candles, Italian ladies' wear, prize draws and so much more.

Admission is £1 and accompanied children will be admitted free of charge.
