Public inquiry to be launched over controversial plans

A PLANNING application first submitted nine years ago is heading for a public inquiry this month as South Ayrshire Council go up against Transport Scotland.
South Ayrshire Council's local review body went against the wishes of Transport Scotland in June, at the same time going against the advice of council planning officers, and now later this month a public inquiry is to be held with SAC having to fork out fees for an external consultant to support their case.
