Permission has been given for a new car park along Barassie shore despite the council receiving 15 strong objections against it.
In the summer months the site, a section of grass next to Beach Road to the north of the existing car park across from Burnfoot Avenue, is used unofficially by visitors as a car park.

Well, we cannot be totally surprised by this decision, especially coming from a council that can leave the toilet block neglected and vandalised, but waste money on making yet another car park on green area, that is neither wanted nor required, but then that is democracy for you...South Ayrshire Council style!!
