AYRSHIRE residents have voted to keep their two Labour MP's with over 40,000 votes between them.
It was a result many expected with the Labour party holding on to both Central Ayrshire and Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock seats.
In the early hours of Friday morning Ayr's returning officer, SAC chief executive David Anderson, announced that Brian Donohoe and Sandra Osborne had been re elected.
MP for Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock, Sandra Osborne, has retained her seat by a healthy margin.
During her victory speech Ms Osborne, 54, praised local supporters and counting staff for their hardwork and said she was looking forward to the next five years.
Ms Osborne explained: "Most of all I want to thank electors for returning me as their MP, especially with the caring and kind response I had on so many doorsteps. It is great to go to London with a renewed vigour."
