CANDIDATES standing in the Central Ayrshire constituency were put on the spot at a major Hustings debate which saw all members face public questions.

The five parties took part in the debate within Tarbolton Community Centre on Monday, April 26.

On the night all the candidates fought for their place on the voting roll, which includes Labour's Brian Donohoe MP, SNP's John Mullen, Liberal Democrat's Andrew Chamberlain, Conservative's Maurice Golden and Socialist Labour James McDaid.

The event had been organised by the Tarbolton Tenants' and Resident's Association and the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce's former chairman Bob Leitch chairing the discussions.
