AN infirm man was attacked and held captive at knifepoint in his own home while another woman is attacked in broad daylight, police said this week.

The 54-year-old Ayr man was in his Riverside Place home around 8pm on Friday, April 2, when the robber struck.

The armed thief is alleged to have held the man in his home while he stole money, a laptop computer and medication.

When leaving it is claimed he cut the victim's telephone cable and took his doors keys, locking him in his own flat with no ways to contact the police.
