CARRICK residents can get a sneak-peek at the new Girvan Community Hospital days before it opens its doors to patients.

The state-of-the-art centre will be offering organised tours around the site and a chance to talk to doctors and nurses in each unit.

It's the last stage of the multi-million pound plan to create a single health centre for Girvan and the surrounding areas which includes a GPs surgery and a minor injuries service.

Residents have also being saying farewell to Davidson Cottage Hospital which is set to close one week before the new centre opens.
