Ayrshire Rotary Clubs are organising the fourth beach clean which will take place on Saturday, April 17.
In conjunction with South Ayrshire Council, who have asked Rotary to coordinate the Beach Clean aspect of their Keep Scotland Beautiful campaign, the Rotary Clubs of Girvan, Alloway, Ayr, Prestwick and Troon, are once again holding this very worthwhile annual Spring Clean.
The beaches to be cleaned are Girvan, Dipple, Turnberry, north Croy Bay, Dunure to Heads of Ayr, Heads of Ayr to River Doon, River Doon to Blackburn Car Park, River Ayr to Bentfield Point, Bentfield Point to Pow Burn, and Pow Burn to Barassie.
A spokesman for the Ayrshire Rotary Club's spring clean said: "We are well aware that many members of our local communities are still appalled at the amount of litter on their beaches, and we invite as many people as possible to join us in this annual environmental exercise."
