PARENTS dropping off their children at Maybole primaries are being warned to expect delays as 10 days of roadworks begin.

The Kirkoswald Road and rail bridge in Maybole is undergoing a £17,000 upgrade to improve the guard rail and kerbing in the area.

Work began yesterday (Monday) and is expected to last 10 days with one lane closed and temporary traffic lights in operation between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Located near Carrick Academy, Gardenrose, Cairn and St Cuthberts Primaries, Amey workers will be on hand to help school commuters.
