GIRVAN Primary School marked the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with a Royal Visit and the planting of an oak tree.

On Thursday, May 31, the Carrick school held a jubilee celebration that commenced with an oak tree being planted in the quad to mark the event - arranged by the P6s.
