THREE Girvan Academy students spent a day learning how to make candles as part of a working in business initiative.
Students Shannon-lee McCracken, Alex Copland and Charlene Bennie, are all fifth year Business Management pupils, decided to make and sell, in school as Christmas gifts, teacup candles as part of a project where they have to set up a business.
Alex, 15, said: "We learned that they used enamel teapots to pour the wax for the homemade candles and how important it is to have the correct temperature."
